My dad has a 57 D400 1 1/2T truck w/ a poly engine in it. He was told that it was a 273, however, from what I've found Mopar didn't make a poly 273. He has a spare bell for it but he said he compared it to the Hemi and the bolt pattern didn't match up.

BTW, I have the bell from the bus, however, it requires a heavy duty 5 speed and I'm not sure if there is enough room to put the 5 sp. tranny between the bell and the x-fer case.
