The Perkins 4 cyl is a 236 CID engine. It is the model Perkins 4.236. They fit fairly well in the M-37, but the firewall fitment is kinda snug. Also with this Perkins, the trans gets moved back about 1 inch. The engine does very well in a M-37. As a Matter of Fact, Lyle VanWert has one in a M-37 and the truck is quite impressive. he can shed more light on your question about the perkins in the M-37
