[What gauge sheet are you using?]

18 Gauge for the floor stuff.

[Did you roll in the access ports and stiffening strips? If so, where did you source the dies and such?]

Yes, the access openings (transmission shifter and the other is to get to the converter speed sensor) are rolled in using an .065" step flange die on a bead roller. The transmission tunnel opening was actually done with an Eastwood hand-crank version but then my wife got tired of being asked out in the shop to help with it so she caved and agreed to allow my to buy an electric one. Mine is a Baileigh Tools Electric Bead Roller, but after getting it, I would have paid more for the American Made version built by Mittler Brothers simply to keep the $ in the US.

The Beads themselves are from a 5/8" beading die. All of my die sets are cut by Mittler Brothers but will work on my import brand machine.

I have also used the machine to re-create my non-original but more correct than aftermarket, custom seat frame. Its adjustable on sliders and it tilts.

[What are you using for your throttle pedal?]

My engine is a 2001 Cummins ISB-170, Common Rail High Pressure injection... meaning the throttle pedal is a "Fly by Wire" similar to what is in the newer Dodge Ram trucks. I have the option of mounting the sending unit up high on the firewall and then building a rod to reach down and assemble the pedal plate and rocker to fit my foot as comfortable and aesthetically as possible.

[Will the center portion be removeable, or are you making the floor solid?]

I am on the fence about that but have still left my options open. I may simply add another hand hole into a side panel for access to the transmission and shifter. I want the rigidity back in the floor since the gauge of the replacement cover is only of 18Ga. The extra funky shape in the passengers floor is to cover AND leave room for lots of thermal insulation around the 3" stainless downpipe that goes through there. Its a game of comprimise on space with all of the other systems involved. Turbo, intake, intercooler, AC, etc etc.

And yea, I know some of you a grumbling to yourselves "why can't this guy just leave things alone"...
