Many of the underground mines use landcruiser 70 series pickups. The bodies are built to the same standards as early 80's Toyota pickups. They do have heavy full float axles and a diesel engine, which is why they import them, gasoline is not allowed underground. The bodies fall apart pretty quickly. They tried J8 diesel Jeeps also, those get imported from Egypt and have what appears to be 1/2 ton pickup running gear. But they would lock the transfer case in low to keep speed down and it would overspeed the little VM diesel blowing lots of them up.
