Hi Rick,

I haven't done this conversion or bought the parts so don't take this as gospel, but I was looking at what was needed a while back. I ended up deciding that a Cardone 27-7515 will work. It is the same as the 27-7500, with a different steering input spline. The 7500 is the substitute for the famed "mid-70's reverse rotation Dodge Saginaw box", and the 7515 is from the later Dodges. The 7515 is about $120 with a $6 core, the 7500 much more expensive (large core price too).

It is my understanding that the frame needs to be notched (see Ugly Truckling and/or Snake river 4x4) and then you need a universal steering joint. My 1/2ton steering arms were 36 splines and the PS box is 32 splines with 4 flats. So I think it should fit.

Search for 27-2515 and 27-7500 and there are a couple of hits in the archives.

Again, I haven't done this conversion so I can't say it will work, but this is the route I am planning on taking I get there.
