Well, after honing all four cylinders and installing new cup seals on my '55 Pontiac years ago, I had one that leaked. After dis-assembly it was evident why. I put in one of the cup seals backward. Flipped it around and it didn't leak again. Sometimes we do the darndest things to ourselves.
