I too use a Miller 250. I have a extra cable and gun. One Cable is set up for .023 wire for sheet metal, the other is set up with .035 for heavier material. With the extra cable and gun, I can change wire size very quickly.
Check with the Local Welders Supply places in your area. Many times they will have a good trade in with a guarantee. Buying your welder and consumables local will have you in good standing with the business if you need any help. Also, buy as large as you can possible afford. You dont know what in the future you may wand/need to weld
