Rear axle assembly

I have a 57 w300. The third member is missing from the rear axle assembly along with the axles. I checked the front gear box and I believe it is the faster speed gear set up. What is the best way to go to get it repaired? 1. Find a complete assembly with axles and replace the entire rear axle assembly or 2. find a third member plus axles and replace just those parts. Also the rear cover for the third member has a cut in it that would have to be repaired. Appreciate your input.
