I don't see that a forward mount would change the rotation direction of the box. It's just pulling rather then pushing. The swing of the arm still needs to be forward for a left turn. Think of a small sailboat you can sit on either side but the tiller always requires the same movement. You may be pulling when you set on the port and yet pushing when on the starboard to make the same turn. Jim
