It's the beginning of the end (or maybe, even the end of the end) for the gasoline fueled passenger car.
Diesel, hydrogen, and electric will be the only choices in ten years or so except for exotic sports cars and the like. As soon as the infrastructure is in place for hydrogen and electric fueling, all other choices for passenger cars will be gone.
It doesn't even make a difference if the new cars are any better or even as good as current cars. The choice will be mandated by law. Welcome to the 21st century.
