on my 6x6 the front inner only drops down a hair from the spline od the front outer is like the rear tho and drops way down
may have him turn it down a hair behind the inner spline--but if they break at the spline seems the swelling would happen at the spline anyway not at a point behind the spline but i really don t know that much about it just want to bullet proof as much as possible alwalys been a pet peeve of mine to come up with stronger axles
