Door Latch Mechanism?

I was getting ready to replace the broken spring in the bottom unit in the picture and noticed there was an extra piece attached to the top unit? I'm assuming this is for the key lock on the passenger side, correct?

I just want to make sure I'm not missing something before I go install these back on the truck.
