Hi all,

I have about 4 or 5 hours on my 230 which I put in new rings, rod bearings and pistons. The rings appear to have set in as the smoking has stopped - there is no blow by in the breather tube or oil filler and the exhaust doesn't appear too smokey or blue. The total time is not road time - mostly fooling around in the yard, plowing, etc. So nothing high speed or extended.

Do I need to worry about how I run it at this point, in term of break in? Should I avoid idling without changing the RPM, etc? Revving up and down?

Does fact the smoking has stopped mean we have moved from breaking in to wearing out?

Thanks and Happy New Year.
