I am not surprised. I sold my first restored truck for $31,500 before the recession in 2008. I was really pleased. Then, the recession hit and prices dipped for quite awhile. Prices have clearly rebounded to pre-recession levels and now seem to be gaining ground.

As for the 1952 with camper top, I think $15-$20K is probably about right for an unrestored, unmolested, low mileage truck. As Milo points out, a truck that was not very nice recently sold for $15K.

This tan 1949 is a lot nicer than the truck Milo posted. If I sold it, I would ask around $17K. That price would have been unreasonable several years ago. But that's what it would cost me to replace it today with a clean rust free unit of similar quality.

Remember, it's not just the sale price, but what would it take to make a truck road worthy. You can expect to spend $1-$3K on a 30-year tune-up (brakes, fuel, exhaust, electric, bushings and oil seals, tires, etc.) Heck, the front axle alone can run close to $1K.

You can get in that truck on ebay right now and drive and enjoy it (if you have the cash). Like my buddy Keith's dad would say: "Last time I looked, they're not making any more land or any more of these trucks, but they're still printing money".

My two cents, anyway.
