Up until about 2 years ago I was having problems with the 218 in my 46 WDX. At slower speeds it ran good. The problem I was having was when I up-shifted to 4th. That's when the engine would act like it had no power. All that time I thought that I was having a fuel problem. Finally about 2 years ago I bought a timing light and come to find out the timing was advanced almost 30 degrees. Now that I've got it dailed back down to 0 the only problem I've had was the condenser going bad on me last year.
