Recently a friend expressed interest in my WC-12
i have been researching heavily for the last few weeks and i think 4K is about right. What do you think? i am open to all feedback, including "are you crazy, keep it" and so on.
Pictures will be posted soon.

here is what i have:

1941 WC-12 on winch model frame.
virtually rust free true military cab (6 small pin holes on rocker below driver door, and rust along the bottom edge of the cab behind the bed across the frame area)
one large dent in the roof, should not be hard to fix.

in-tact original windshield frame and glass, missing one of the sliding brackets to hold it open.
Glass needs to be replaced but the frame seems solid and restore-able.

clean original dash, some rust on the glove box door, but has data plate on it still.
looks like original map board and brackets under the glove box.
Seat back is there and will need to be restored, seat bottom is missing. Base frame and floor boards look good.

metal kick panels still in place.
doors have 1 small dent on each near the front edge, inside panels are there and the glass appears to be in the doors, need some work on the regulators and latches.

Incredibly straight original bed and rear fenders!!!!
Top rails are straight as an arrow!!!
has the original body tag on the bed post.
correct bed for the WC-12, it has the reinforced plates for the longitudinal troop seats.
has a few small cracks that need to be welded around the stake pockets
front bed panel has slight bow and will need to be straightened.
Needs a tailgate and brackets.
needs new wood bed strips and sub frame.
rear fenders have a few small dents and a little bend at the back, very fixable.

original fuel tank and filler with cap still in-tact NOT rusted through like most are.

running boards have one small dent and a few small holes about 1/4" diam.
has original Cast iron spare tire mount and stud.

original "Winch model" grill and light guards and cowl in good shape, small dents from winch cable.
The front passenger side fender needs to be replaced (it is a civi fender anyway) other original fender has small dent to be fixed.
I have 2 hoods that can be put together to get a good complete hood.
No radiator.
fire wall seems original with no damage, and even has the original voltage regulator.

I have 4 original 1/2 ton rims for it, all tires will need to be replaced. 1 rim has been restored already.
I even have dually lug nuts for the back if desired.

Frame and drive train look complete and solid
with the exception of the engine which is clearly missing major parts like the head and some pistons etc....
the block is marked t215 which matches the frame serial#
I have a running Plymouth/desoto replacement engine for it.

The frame is actually a command car frame that has had the winch extensions added to it. this was done well and is straight and should be ready to accept a winch.
The serial # matches a command car and it does not have the sheet metal cover that spans the frame between the cab and bed. (pretty sure it is a CC frame)
I don't know who did this modification but it seems to be good.
has pto mounted to the transmission.

Will also need an MU winch and drive shaft, and the front bumper and winch brackets.

Wow, now that i wrote all that down i want to keep it.......?

Thanks every body.
if i don't sell it to my friend i will likely post it here.
