I built a vacuum advance distributor for my 230 using parts from slant-six and LA smallblock distributors. It required a little bit of machining to work, but the end result worked like a charm. I never figured the MPG difference, but it started easier and the typical points miss that nearly everyone has had at one time or another was gone. The only other parts needed to make it work were a factory ECU and electronic ignition ballast resistor. If incognito is important, then Pertronix would be my advice.
