Different Engine Higher RPMs?

OK sold on a 4BT but then you have to up/grade the gearing due to low Engine RPMs. Why not a 4 cyl higher RPM/HP engine that will still work with the lower gears for a normal speed in a PW? A engine that can cruse at say 3200 RPMs you could do 60 easy in the truck with some to spare. The old brakes are not good enough for high speeds nor is the rest of the truck. So if you want stock you can't have high speeds and still be safe in traffic. Just kicking around a newer engine idea in the 6X6 if the old one does not do it justice when finished.
