That's pretty impressive for a 6x6. I would think dragging all those tires would eat up a lot of economy.
27 mpg is the best I have gotten in my 4bt Wagoneer at 65 mph. It regularly returns 20 mpg with mixed city and 75 mph highway.
It's a 105 hp VE-pump motor with a TH475 automatic and 2.73 gears.
I love it, but it's a dog. Between this wagon and the 4bt Twinkie trucks I have driven, none of them can get up a hill without slowing down traffic. We'll be turning the screws on the injection pump soon. We've already installed an HX35w off a 130 hp 4bt, a small air-to-air-after cooler and 40 hp 6bt injectors. We'll soon see if a little more fuel brings her alive.
