I have a Toyota that I purchased a couple of years ago, and I went through a logical process as I made the selection from a number of American and foreign car choices. When I told my dad that I was narrowing down on the Camry, he said, "Go for it, those are great cars!" I was much more torn about purchasing a Japanese vehicle than he was.

I don't think WWII is as much a reason as it once was to avoid a Japanese product. There may be other reasons for some people, and I share those to some extent, but I personally don't think WWII is such a big one anymore. If it is such a big reason, then why do so many on this forum admire - and even purchase - German products? Shouldn't that be as big a concern, considering that the Germans would have been happy to take our land once they got done with their deeds across the pond?
