I titled the post wrong, but I stated it correctly in the text. My fault for the confusion. it is the 200 and the 205 that I am considering.
I wish the 203 could be made to be part time/full time; all that is available is to eliminate the differential and replace it with a shaft that allows part time (front and rear driveshafts locked or front disengaged). Just as well; the 203 is also chain driven which seems inherently weaker than gear driven though the 271 is chain driven and has a reputation for being very very tough.
