I'd use dp 90 ppg etching primer , it won't fill your scratches, then do any body work & filler prime. 80 grit on a da orbital sander will work great. You will see sanding scratches throught epoxy , the filler primer will do that . Been there done that A lot. My .02 worth. Us black dp90. They also make blue, but I'd use black on all, when you get a nick it will be black , less noticeable. Tim
