I think 85 mph speed limits are like continous grades for a full size truck. I drove a rental car from san antonio to el paso cruise set at about 87 and that poor nissan was hating it. I got passed by several diesel trucks along the way and between the high rpms they must be running and the wind load that has to be as bad as long hills.
