Desoto 61 has room above his radiator, he was talking about putting an overflow tank there. But there is probably room for a flat-ish air intake instead?

But before I engaged in the mental and duct gymnastics, I would try to find actual science behind the desire for cooler air. I doubt that it will make anydamn difference in real world performance.

Is it Boyle's Law, PV/T? Yes, temp has an effect, but the calcs are based on Absolute temperature, ambient is 600? So, a difference of 30c is only 5%, but then what effect does compression and intercooling have? And then moderate it by the fact that Diesels ALWAYS have toooo much air for their fuel anyhow, what is 5 less? Weelllll, unless you are going to crank up the pump until you make black smoke...
