Geothermal heat pump run by electricity like an air conditioner in reverse, or geothermal hot water well? I know a few places in Idaho like Ketchum, Garden Valley, and the old parts of Boise where they have hot water wells, but that's a rare thing if you're that lucky. Around here, I wish there was some way to get the heat up out of the mines to heat the towns. The rock at the bottom of the new shaft in the Lucky Friday is 140 degrees, plenty hot enough for building heating.
