Buna N (Nitrile) does not perform well in regular automotive brake fluid. It should work well in silicone, but automotive silicone brake fluid may contain various additives including additives designed to promote limited controlled swelling of brake cups. So, I would be hesitant to use automotive silicone although silicone in general has very low reactivity with most things.
