First year was all Cees. Second year the teacher was teaching us drinking songs, I got a B the first semester. Then he retired to go manage the Hofbrau House in Munich. So I get a real geek- red bow tie, the works. My grade at the semester was C, those euch-eurer-eurens were killing me. 3rd quarter, D, 4th quarter the day before school ended, he came along and told us our grades. Yup, 'F'. I told him darn, I'll feel I have to take it again, and since he was the only German teacher now, he would have me again next year. Report card the next day a- "DEEEE"!!!!
Sometimes being a PITA has it's rewards. :^)
Oh, that first teacher? His class is where my sister met her husband of 46 years- so far.
