Since the 6X6 is longer than a regular truck having 2 axles I had a thought. If I took this series 3 bed and cut the center pockets out and in haft I could add the extra needed to fit the bed to it. I also could cut the fender and extend it for over the wheels. It would only be flat metal on the cab and the design would still be there on the sides. Then I would need to add in the top pipe or put new ones on. This would be easier than adding another section of bed on each side since the metal is flat anyways. Maybe cut the top off another bed to add the top in the middle?? This would make it a 10 ft plus bed but look like a PW still. What am I thinking wrong about this idea?? I could have a section of steel sheared and bent to the right angle for welding the tube steel onto it and make the section. I could add 2 pockets at the seams for more strength and looks?
