That is what I was wondering if I could do. Might be easier than pulling the flywheel off. I was doing this so I could put the engine on my stand mounted to the block. Mounting it to the bell housing sure sticks it way out off of a couple bolts. My engine stand has a boom above it for lifting stuff that I added to it with longer leg extensions on the bottom. The engine is hanging off it right now.
