I was using a crappy old gun my dad bought forever ago, then while at a rented spray booth the guy who owned the booth let me use one of his guns and i was ruined for ever.
after that i went looking for a real spray-gun.
I bought a Sharpe from my local paint supply store, it is gravity feed (absolutely required).
it was the close out from the previous year and so was on sale, instead of 5-6 hundred i paid like 200 and have never regretted it.
it is lite, easy to use and clean and shoots anything i have put into it like a dream.
