Not only the auto mechanics shop, but the basic electricity and wood shops. Kids should know a radial arm saw from a table saw, and what they're used for and how to use them. My son Andy asked me once about an electrical problem (can't remember on what) but I said it sounded like it was wired in series rather than parallel. He stared back... I said, "Never mind." Simple crap I remembered from 8th grade!
