I rebuilt a truck from two salvage title trucks. The body was a 99 and the rest was a 2000. I had all the paperwork for both trucks. The State Highway Patrol salvage title inspection went fine. They titled it as a 2000 due to the frame number. I had to return a few weeks later for a new vin plate to be riveted to the door jamb. They assigned a completely different vin number to the truck. I suspect it would go the same as long as you have title to both trucks. If you only have a bill of sale for the parts it MUST be from a licensed auto salvage yard. This was all a few years ago her in Ohio but I doubt that it's gotten any easier. I wonder how a restomod truck would be described on the title. Jim
