All Saginaw PS Boxes need spacers on the mount bolts due to the curve in the bottom of the box. Without the spacers, its not possible to tighten the box tot he frame properly, in fact you risk snapping off a mount ear. I believe the spacers from memory are .625 thick. With that side, does a manual box also require spacers you may not have put back on during the install. I cant remember the ripping out of the manual boxes on my trucks, if they had thick .625" spacers or not. But .625" out at the box woud manifest its self in much more at the distance of the dash notch.
