It says there should be 10-15 lbs of force required to get them to move from straight ahead. So flopping is sub-standard.
Then it further says to fix them up, do as you say with larger balls, but to replace them in opposite pairs until tight.
I have one more shaft, a shorty, wrapped in preservative, so presumably this will be a keeper.
Now I need to get a sling-shot with all these leftovers.
