I have the same problem. I was hoping to get the 2 brass screws out and have a clean inside threads before I shipped. I have completed the drilling of the screws and tried using a small EZ out, but that did not work.
When I refurbished my own frame, I had the same situation as well, all the way through to the tapping process.
I thank the buyers of the frame for being patient. I will get back to work on them tonight for a while after 14 hours on the jobsite.
STUBBURN AND CONSISTANT SCREWS!!!
