I have recently removed my windshield to insert new glass and rubber for the winter.
During this somewhat easy task I had more problems removing the regulator than anything. The 2 main screws that attach the reg. tape to the windshield frame are made of BRASS of all things. I had to cut the tape at its closest end to the window. I called for a replacement at VPW and they are 125.00 I think he said. Would it be silly just to add two hatch back shocks to the sides of the dash and window frame instead of all that money for a rebuilt regulator?
Just to note this is for a semi NOS work truck not a show or exact original. I'm trying very hard to keep some of my money in the bank and not in the truck.
With the old PW it is getting hard to do without waiting forever for the funds.
