drivin a flathead

Just got back from a run in the hills, the ol' flathead seems to like to run in the higher RPM of the power band, like 2300+, it seemes like I'm winding it up(turns on that little buzzer in the brain)but thats where it runs the best(& coolest)....whatdayathink?
