wc-53, used to have a nailhead buick in it when I got it, seattle to palm desert 60-70 mph, no problems. 1951 swivel frame from alsask alberta canada to palm desert,ca. fuel pump in idaho falls, dodge service mgr. threw me out at 430 pm, storm coming. NAPA parts house fixed me up with an electric, and one of the guys came back later to invite me for dinner(with his wife cooking) made it to palm desert. next bird season, put 1100x18's on stock 51 (same truck) and went back up and back down, no problems.
I think the general public is as pleased to see a flat fender on the highways as we are to own and drive them.
