1950 was the last year for wooden cab mounts. My 1950 Forest Sevice truck from Idaho came with front cab mounts which were charred from fighting brush fires.

The mounts are 4" long and made of 1.75" thick/tall stock. The width tapers along the outside edge from a width of 3.75" in the rear down to a width of 3" in the front. The underside of the outside edge has a section 5/16" deep and 3/4" wide routered out along the full length. This section allows the block to fit in between the tapered flange which runs along the length of the cab floor.

The holes are on a center 2.5" from the front and 1.5" from the inside straight edge. The hole in the front left mount is 1/2" and takes a fixed anchor bolt. The hole in the right front mount is 7/8" and takes a longer bolt with spring and nut/cotter pin.

My truck did not have rear mounts, but I don't know if this was original or not. Perhaps others could comment. I used my old transfer case mounts as rear cab mounts. Also, with duplicates of the original front mounts my cab rode on the frame so I raised them up about 1/2".

Good luck.
