Hi Russ: I looked up your engine number prefix (truck engineering code T-123) as soon as I saw your post, but I could not find it in any of my Dodge parts books, so did not post a reply. Sometimes no answer is just "no answer".

The closest prefix I found is T-122 for the 1941-1947 WF39 1-1/2 ton trucks with a 182" wheelbase. They used two engines under the same T-122 code: a 228 cu. in engine (3-3/8" bore x 4-1/4" stroke) in 1941 only and a 236 cu, in engine (3-7/16" bore x same 4-1/4" stroke) in 1942-1947. But I have no idea whether those engines were also used on a T-123 truck, so said nothing rather than speculate about the unkonwn. I like to stick to known facts in a reply, so rather than post speculations, I simply did not answer.

The inability to find the T-123 engine code comes from it being an odd number. Most every code number in my domestic parts books are even numbers, often with gaps between them. For example, the next highest code number from T-122 in my book is T-130. I don't know what the missing "gap" T numbers represent, if anything. But I'm beginning to think odd numbered T codes might be engineering codes for export vehicles, so are only listed in export parts lists, which I do not own. There have been quite a few other odd number T codes I could not find, so something's up, I just don't know what.
