I have had some contact with these trucks. The 1944 Model was the Agri-Jeep, prototype for the CJ-2A. This was Jeep's genisis from WWII to civilian use. It was designed to accomodate a range of after-market impliments, much like the civilian Power Wagon. The 3-point hitch was one of the options available.
