We had a old M-880 on our Fire Dept. We had a local mechanic put power steering on. I'm not sure what he used. We recently replaced with a "new" surplus Chevy. The truck was supposed to go back to the DEQ formerly the DNR, but the last time I looked it was still behind the fire station. I you would like, give me an e-mail and I'll try to get some digital pics if they still haven't picked it up. The wiring on the other hand is crap. The black-out light system in the dash gave us fits. I finally stopped at the Nat. Gaurd armory to see if they had a wiring diagram. After he stopped laughing he explaned that the black-out kit was an add on. The trucks were shipped to the army bases and that the kits were hacked, er, installed on site by any means possible. We ended up taking a wiring dia. of the stock truck and uninstalling the black-out kit.

BTW I have a set of mounted tires and rims from that M-880 for sale. The tires are Firestone Firehawk ATX 31-10.50x 16.5. 1/2" to 5/8" tread left. White letters to the inside {wouldn't want the taxpayers thinking we were blowing their money on fancy white letter tires.}

Thanks Lew
