1956 Was the first year for a Dodge 2 ton 4X4 truck..BUT the 1956 truck was NOT called a W-500. It was in the C-4 Series..I THINK it was called the HMN or something like that. I have all that info in a book, but the book is in storage and I cant check on it for shure. The PG Era did not start till 57...The 56 trucks were in the Functional Design era. They also had the butterfly hoods that 1/2 of the hood opend from each side..

Have there been any '56 Two ton 4X4s Located that are still in existance?

I have a pic here somewhere that a guy sent me of his '57 W-200 in WA State somewhere...
