According to the articles posted on the
www.chtopping.com site, drilling the drums
1. Eliminates the air cushion that develops between the pad and drum. (are they kidding?)
2. Allows centrifugal forces to expel brake dust, water, dirt, sand. They claim its popular with off-roaders.
3. Allows increase cooling and prevents fade.
4. Cost for drilling about $35 per drum.
5. Also prevent water induced fade.

I don't know. It sounds interesting, but I think helitool has a better solution for our particular needs. Somehow drilling holes in my braking system just doesn't seem right.
