And the 5.7 before it.
They got a bad reputation from the general Public who bought them and had no Idea how to care and maintain a diesel.
I bought a 1980 1/2 Ton new with a 5.7, my dad had a Old's.
Then bought a 84 K30 new with the 6.2.
They were no power house for sure, but got you from A to B
I put a 12 Valve Cummins in the 84 back in 92
because I needed to work it harder, HA HA
Never had a problem other than maintaining it .
