Headlights, new or used?

Thought one of my headlight buckets was salvageable, but no. Is there any point to trying to find some used ones or just get the reproduction parts?

Both will need work of some kind but seems most people want too much for their beat up used ones, and it seems easier to modify some new ones than trying to patch up a pair I paid the same amount for that have soneones twisted definition of "light surface rust".
