Michelin XZL tires

I went to pick up my tube and flap this morning at Les Schwab Tires. When I was done with that I asked what they had in 9.00 X 16. He checked and said that the only thing he lists in that size was a Michelin XZL and that it was $1000 per tire. He said he would need to check with Michelin for stock. I found this to be interesting as I have requested 9.00 X 16 tires there before and they never came up with the XZLs. I wonder what is going on.
