Its probably white for two reasons.
1) Any color but Olive Drab to differentiate it from a military vehicle. Travelling through many countries on cart roads they would want to appear as friendlies, not as an invading scout party.
2) On their first trip they drove a white Plymouth. If they were to run into trouble and needed help, white would be the most visible from the air. The opposite of camo.
The military could request that their vehicles be unbadge by the OEM. If Dodge is giving away a new truck they would certainly want their name on it for promotional purposes. This is why you see the DODGE on the hood.
