Where are you located? If you are near someone with a diesel conversion you might be able to get a test drive. You will know all you need in the first couple miles. I didaa conversion relatively cheaply and I am now happy with it but I don't have a show truck and did zero restoration. In fact I have a trail truck and it shows. I had never driven a mechanical diesel before I did mine and it is very different than my 04 truck and the 230. You will either love it or hate it. I am in Missouri and will happily give test drives.
