Get all the parts you need and have a plan before you start tearing apart your truck.
Seems guys want to start tearing apart their truck as the first step and then, some years down the road, they end up with a project they will never finish.
If you want a vehicle to tow with and diesels get your "blood going", buy a diesel pickup. You will be time, money and effort ahead. A FFPW will never make a good tow vehicle regardless of what you do to it.
